The Battle Of Somme

This picture here is going to play a part in the upcoming ANZAC WWI timeline. Our task was to get into groups of 3-4. We would all be given a time during WWI, and we would make a drawing with 5 facts, a timeline, pictures, and our names.

In my group was Jordan and Faaiua, and our date was the 15th of September, 1916. We went onto http://ww100.govt.nz to find out information, before making the drawing. The 15th of September 1916 was when The New Zealand Division takes part in its first major battle.

This will be a small but hopefully meaningful part of the timeline.

  1. You've shared some frightful statistics here Iisa. I am interested to find out more about the details where you've mentioned 'million'. It's good to learn about these facts as it gives more context to the impact of WW1. Keep up the informative posts Iisa.
