Tiritiri Reflection, the BRITS & The TTFRAP, and the Black Robin

The Department Of Conservation gave us an opportunity to go to Tiritiri Matangi island on Wednesday 17th of June. (You can read it here.) This was an inspiring time for majority of us, and a good thing too!

When we got back, we had a task. It was to design a product for an endangered species on Tiritiri. Can you guess what I chose? The Black Robin! I chose the Black robin because not only is it very small (and cute), it is endangered really bad. In 1980 only 5 of them remained. To help the Black robins thrive, I have come up some quirky yet useful products.

The BRITS & the TTFRAP will help save the cute, 10 - 19cm, 22 - 25g, endangered Black robins. Repopulation is a must for them. With the help of the DOC, the BRITS and the TTFRAP can live up to their somewhat unorthodox name and save not only the Black robin, but other small birds as well. Let's all cross our fingers and hope that the TTFRAP and the BRITS can save the Black robin.
